What are contraindications to IV therapy?
Contraindications to IV therapy:
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Kidney Failure
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Heart Arrhythmia
- Liver Cirrhosis
- Bleeding/Clotting Disorders
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Someone with abnormal vital signs
Prior to treatment, we review health history, allergies, screen for contraindications, and take a full set of vitals to ensure you are an appropriate candidate for IV therapy.
How long does an IV typically take?
Please allow approximately 1 hour for your entire treatment.
Why is IV therapy better than oral fluids, medications, or supplements?
IV fluids with vitamins, supplements, or medications bypass the digestive system and go directly into the bloodstream. Therefore, there is better and faster absorption and you feel better quicker. People suffering from acute illness such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea find
it difficult to stay hydrated with oral hydration alone. Also, some people with chronic illnesses, especially those that affect the digestive organs such as inflammatory bowel diseases or Celiac disease, would benefit from bypassing digestion. Furthermore, many people simply do not get enough vitamins and minerals through their food intake alone.
Do you offer mobile services?
We do! There is a $50 travel fee for any mobile service. Also, there is a minimum order for mobile services so please contact us for more information.
Do you service groups? Any group rate?
Yes and yes! For any group of four or more, we are happy to offer a 10% group discount.
Do you treat children?
We do not currently treat children.
Are their side effects?
Side effects may include minor swelling, pain, bleeding, or bruising at the injection site. Some people report a metallic taste in their mouth, a vitamin smell in their urine, or a flushed sensation. These are all normal and do not last long. Less common side effects include infection and allergic reactions.
Please inform us of all allergies before receiving IV therapy. In the rare case of an allergic reaction to a medication or supplement, we will administer an antihistamine or Epi-Pen as appropriate.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us a 24 hour notice in order to receive a full refund. Missed appointments are not refundable.
Do you accept walk-ins?
At this time, appointments are required and we do not accept walk-ins.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance.
How often can I receive therapy?
It depends on your wellness needs and goals. For acute illness such as the flu, Covid, or food poisoning, oftentimes one treatment will help substantially. For other goals, you may be able to receive treatment up to once a week. Please discuss your needs with our staff. Intramuscular B12 injections can be given up to once weekly.
I am a hard stick. What if you cannot access a vein?
Our medical staff has years of training and experience and will not rush the procedure. Occasionally, it may take more than one try. However, depending on your comfort level, we
will not attempt more than three times and may request you reschedule. Also, depending on your needs we may be able to assist with intramuscular injections.
Can I book with a friend?
Yes. Our space is limited in our office; however, we can accommodate more than one person at a time if you would like to be in a room together.
I am a member of RCWH. What is my discount?
We offer 10% discounts on IV therapy services to our RCWH members.
Explanation of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc.
Amino Acids: A group of organic compounds that form the building blocks of proteins. They are involved in almost every body function, including growth and development, healing and repair, normal digestion, and providing energy for your body.
Anti-Inflammatory Medication: Helps ease headaches and muscle aches, improving your overall comfort during migraines, menstrual cramps, hangovers, or flu recovery.
Anti-nausea medication: Helps calm your stomach and improve your comfort during your recovery.
Arginine and Ornithine: Your body uses the amino acid ornithine to synthesize the amino acid arginine, then arginine is used to produce nitric oxide. Nitric oxide regulates smooth muscle contraction, which allows it to relax the muscles in blood vessels. Promotes vasodilation and blood flow.
B-complex vitamins: a complex of 5 different B vitamins that perform a range of functions including cardiovascular support, helping your body convert food into energy, immune function, and more
B12: a B vitamin associated with promoting healthy brain function, blood cells and nerves and improved energy levels
Vitamin C: A concentrated dose of vitamin C to supercharge your immune system and help your body fight off illness. Vitamin C plays many essential roles throughout your body, helping to maintain systems such as muscles, bones, and the circulatory system. Note: at this time, we do not offer high dose Vitamin C
Biotin: Also known as Vitamin B7, is part of the B-vitamin complex and is associated with improving the strength, appearance, and overall health of your skin, hair, nails, and eyes.
Calcium: A critical mineral in our bodies and is integral in heart and skeletal muscle contraction, nerve cell conduction, blood clotting, blood pressure maintenance, blood glucose utilization, bone formation and enzyme function.
Carnitine: An amino acid that improves fat metabolism and energy, reduces recovery ties, and promotes muscle building potential
Citrulline: An amino acid that is converted to Arginine in the kidneys. Longer lasting effect than just Arginine alone. Some research is looking at the benefits of helping with ED. Promotes vasodilation, blood flow, immune system.
Glutathione: A powerful antioxidant that provides immune system support, detoxifies your body, removes free radicals, boosts energy levels, improves skin, and improves neurodegenerative diseases
Glutamine: Amino acid glutamine plays key roles in protein metabolism, cell volumizing, and anti-catabolism, which helps prevent the breakdown of your muscles.
IV Fluids: A sterile solution that delivers nutrients directly into your bloodstream, rehydrates your body, and ensures 100% absorption.
Manganese: A mineral your body needs to stay healthy. Your body uses manganese to make energy and protect your cells from damage.
Magnesium: A mineral involved in over 300 enzyme systems that regulate diverse biochemical reactions throughout your body and plays a large role in regulating the normal, healthy function of nerve and muscle function, the immune system, the cardiovascular system, the production of proteins, and more.
Selenium: A powerful and essential mineral that plays an important role in the health of your immune system. This antioxidant helps lower oxidative stress in your body, which reduces inflammation and enhances immunity.
Zinc: A metal that is found in trace amounts throughout the body. It is essential in supporting immune system functions and necessary for human health. On a cellular level, it helps prevent the invasion of unknown pathogens into the cell.
